Catherine Nixon

Catherine Nixon, 88, of Gore, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at her residence. She was born May 6, 1917, in Hocking County, daughter of the late Harrison and Bertha Nutter McMullen. Catherine was survived by her husband Lloyd F. Nixon who survives.

She worked at Elberfelds and was an Assistant Postmistress at the Gore Post Office.

Catherine was survived by three daughters Sharon Jim Stimmel of Gore, Connie Terry Hunter of Logan, and Teresa Smith of Gore, seven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Dale McMullen.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2006, New Hope United Methodist Church, 9825 Gore Church Rd., Logan, Ohio, with Rev. David Rohrer officiating. Interment will be in Gore Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, Ohio, on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M and on Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church.
