Charles L. Bush, 79, of Lancaster, formerly of Logan, passed away Friday, March 17, 2006 at his residence, where he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 13, 1926, in Mason West Virginia, son of the late William M. and Velma Johnson Bush. He was married to Jean Ann Morrison Bush who survives.
Charles was the former retired owner and operator of Bush?s Restaurant in Logan. He was also a former mason, former Board member of the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Logan, and was active in Bob Evans Restaurants in the beginning of the company. Charles was also very active in the Logan Community.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Ed Jill Bush of Kettering; a daughter, Susan Jack Welch of Huntington, West Virginia; two step daughters, Melissa Mike Johnson of Knoxville, Tennessee and Christine Kevin McCreary of Carroll; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard Bush of Johnstown, Herb Bush of Gallipolis and Alfred Bush of Kingsport, Tennessee; a sister, Marg Neal of Medina.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother William Bush.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Mountain State Memorial Gardens, Elkins, West Virginia, with Rev. Leon Hevner, officiating.
Friends may call at Cardaras Funeral Home 183 E. Second St. Logan on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
The family suggests contributions be made to Fair Hope Hospice 1111 E. Main St. Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
