Frank L. Grubbs

Frank L. Grubbs, 88, of Glouster, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2006, at O?Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens. He was born November 26, 1917 in Morgan County, son of the late Herbert and Lula Kasler Grubbs. He was married to Verna Parsons Grubbs of Glouster, for 60 years.

Frank owned and operated Grubbs Bakery in Glouster for 30 years. He was a World War II Army Airforce Veteran, a Scoutmaster for Glouster Troop 72 for over 30 years, a member of the Glouster Church of Christ and the Glouster American Legion. He was a member of the Glouster Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons #607, the Athens Commandry of the Knights of Templar #15, Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, Athens Chapter #39 and Grand Council of Royal and Select Masons of Ohio, Athens Council #15.

In addition to his wife, Verna, he is survived by a daughter, Linda Tim Edwards of Trimble; three sons, Frank Leroy Carolyn Grubbs of Greenwood Arkansas, Roger Lewis Becky Grubbs of Hudson, Florida and Larry Linda Grubbs of Tampa, Florida; ten grandchildren, Erin Grubbs, Charity Sanchez, Sam Grubbs, David Grubbs, Zachary Grubbs, Alissa Fishback, Faith Edwards, Jesse Edwards, Laura Grubbs and James Grubbs; two great granddaughters, Abigayle Grubbs and Elizabeth Fishback and two sisters, Mandanna Nye of Columbus and Hannabelle Leo of Lancaster.

In addition to his parents Frank was preceded in death by a sister, Agnes Shaffer and three brothers, Enlow, Ira and Nathan Grubbs.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 11, 2006 at the Glouster Church of Christ, 32 Fairlawn Ave. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster where military graveside services will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster and one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Boy Scout Troop 72, C/O Gus Morris, 11100 Congress Run Rd., Glouster, Ohio 45732.
