Doris G. Conner

Doris G. Conner, 84, of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, June 16, 2006 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster. She was born March 11, 1922 in Happy Hollow, Ohio, daughter of the late John E. and Goldie McCombs Jones. Doris was married to the late Joseph M. Conner.

Doris graduated from Buchtel-York School in 1939, and retired from Nelsonville-York schools where she was a cook.

She is survived by one daughter Jo Ellen Michael Wright of Frankfort, Ohio, one son Keith Letha Conner of Nelsonville, seven grandchildren, Eugenia John McCollister of Frankfort, Andria Lenette Chris McDonald of Ferrara, Italy, Lisa Darryl Halcomb of Frankfort, Seth Sada Wright of Frankfort, Stacy Philip Venrick of Lancaster, Stefan Andrea Conner of Nelsonville, and Erin Shawn Fraunfelter of Logan; nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one brother Ned E. Charlene Jones of Nelsonville, and special nephew Ed Edmonson of Nelsonville.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers Edgar Jones and Max Jones and two sisters, Virgie Kovaleski and Lois Jones.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 11A.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 PM.
