James D. Linscott

James D. ?Jimmy? Linscott, 84, of Nelsonville, passed away Monday, July 10, 2006 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster. He was born September 1, 1921 in Athens County, son of the late Dean C. and Myrtle McCafferty Linscott. Jimmy was married to the late Mary V. Linscott.

Jimmy was a graduate of Nelsonville High School, a member of the Paramuthia Masonic Lodge #25, Athens, a life member of the Nelsonville Elks BPOE #543 and the Nelsonville VFW Post 3467. He was the retired owner of Jim Linscott Motor Sales.

He is survived by two sons, Mike Mary Linscott of Centerburg and Pat Linscott of Nelsonville

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 1P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville with Rev. Michael Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 PM where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 PM.
