Pearl Oma Miller, 86, formerly of Jacksonville, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at Autumn Years Nursing Center, Sabina, Ohio. She was born July 31, 1919 in Greggs, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Harry Barto and Oma Margaret Williams Sorrell. Pearl was married to the late Arvil Miller who passed away in 2003.
She was employed at McBee?s in Athens, the Glouster Community Bank and the Burr Oak Lodge. Pearl is a member of the Eastern Star in Glouster and attended the Glouster Church of Christ.
Pearl is survived by one son, Arvil Diana Miller if Glouster; one daughter Catherine Roger Barber of Sabina; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Pearl is preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy Perkins, Frances Milburn, Catherine Stevens, and Mattie Stanley.
Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Saturday in the Cardaras Funeral Home 30 Main St., Glouster, with John Wright officiating. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 P.M. There will be an Eastern Star service at 7:30.
