Sue Carol Gribble, 74, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at her residence. After a brave battle with cancer, our mother has gone home to heaven. There she will not know sickness or death, and warmth of love shall shine upon her always. She was born November 14, 1931 in Hocking County, daughter of the late Herman and Thelma Pickett Kanode.
Sue was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and a former member of Venus Chapter #76 O.E.S.
She is survived by four daughters, Kimberly Gribble and her special friend Sheila Smith of Albany, Melissa McManaway of Logan, Lisa Brian Schenck of Lancaster and Donna Mark Seevers of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Ashlee and Kayla Seevers, Chris McManaway Jr. and Jessica McManaway, Megan and Benjamin Schenck; two brothers Jerry Alice Kanode and Jack Kanode both of Logan; one sister June Souslby of Pomeroy and several nieces and nephews.
Sue is preceded in death by sisters Jean Carter, Joann Thomas, Margie Bungard and Karolyn Kanode and one brother Dick Kanode.
Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Friday, August 25, 2006 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Karl Hartmann officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M.
