Vera H. Langley

Vera H. Langley, 89, of Murray City, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan. She was born December 18, 1916 in Sand Run, the daughter of the late Arthur and Martha Collins Eckels. She was married the late George T. Langley, who passed away August 3, 1994, for 58 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy A. Collins of Murray City; a grandson, Bruce Paula Collins of Grove City; a great grandson, Seth Cindy Collins of Kentucky; two step great grandchildren, Mindy Scott Robson and Darcie Blake both of Murray City; four great-great grandchildren, Kian Collins, Reece and Renee Robson and Paige Swope; best friends, Paul and Leah Kasler, Diane Campbell and Phyllis Barber.

In addition to her husband and parents, Vera was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Nutter and Dorris Galiton and two brothers, Glen and Hubert Eckels.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 2:30 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.
