Lavon A. Raidel

Lavon A. Raidel, 75, of The Plains, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at St. Anns Hospital, Westerville. She was born January 24, 1931 in Marion, Ohio, daughter of the late Allen and Florence Best Cryder. Lavon is the widow of Martin Raidel. They were married almost 50 years.

She was a homemaker and a Registered Nurse. She retired from Grant Hospital in Columbus. Lavon graduated from Hardin High School in Marion in 1949 and graduated from White Cross School of Nursing in 1952. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Athens and White Cross-Riverside School of Nursing Alumni.

Lavon is survived by three sons, Hans Deborah Raidel of Westerville, Heinz Raidel of Kilbourne and Fritz Amy Raidel of Westerville; one daughter, Erika Bryan Fuller of Butler, Ohio; ten grandchildren and one sister, Leila Galloway of Marion.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Friday, October 13, 2006 at the Christ Lutheran Church, 69 Mills St., Athens, OH 45701 with Pastor Lynn Miller officiating. Interment will be in New Marshfield Cemetery, New Marshfield. Friends may call at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday at the church 1 hour prior to the services.
