Robert E. Hatfield Sr.

August 22, 1921 — October 18, 2006

Robert E. Hatfield Sr., 85, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at his residence. He was born August 22, 1921 in Cinderella, West Virginia, son of the late Valentine Wall and Miriam Edith Watters Hatfield. Robert was married to Mabel Frances Hall Hatfield who survives.

He was a retired coal miner and a WW II Army Veteran. Robert was also a member of the Logan Moose and Logan Amvets.

Robert is survived by three sons, Steve Tammy Hatfield of Logan, Bob Hatfield of Logan and Jon Brenda Hatfield of Indianapolis, Indiana; three daughters, Rita Bill Reeves of Lancaster, Marion Tim Neal of New Straitsville, and Lucy Ron Forrest of Logan; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; seven brothers, Rush, Jimmy, and Troy Hatfield all of Columbus, Rodney, Wall Jr. and Bryant Hatfield all of Delbarton, West Virginia and Billy Hatfield of Newark and two sisters, Mildred Lowery of Logan and Sylvia Cisco of Delbarton, West Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, George and Tom Hatfield; one sister, Katherine Hatfield and one grandson, William Reeves Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, October 22, 2006 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Tim Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
