Robert W. Kasler

Robert ?Bob? W. Kasler, 80, of Nelsonville, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Pine Hills Continuing Care Center, Nelsonville. He was born May 9, 1926 in Big Bailey Run, Athens County, son of the late Sanford W. and Emma Viola Dunn Kasler. Bob was married to Betty Lou Barnhart Kasler for 64 years who survives.

He retired from Anchor Hocking where he was a Tow Motor Operator. He also worked on oil wells with his sons.

Bob is survived by three sons, Robert L. Charlene Kasler of Logan, Ted Jane Kasler of Chauncey and Frank Kasler and special friend Mary Jane Chorniak of Millfield; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Melvin Dorothy Kasler of Millfield; one sister Thelma Lafollette of Millfield and dog Mitzi.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sons, Gary, George and Ron Kasler; two grandsons, Robert William and Lawrence Robert Kasler and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
