Denver Lee ?Tod? Mohney, 79, of Buchtel, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2006 at his residence. He was born March 13, 1927 in Murray City, Ohio, son of the late Inal James and Pearl Hurd Mohney. Tod was married to Mary Louise Allbaugh Mohney, who survives, for 59 years.

He was a retired coal miner and a WWII Army Veteran. Tod was a life member of the Nelsonville VFW 3467 and the American Legion in Murray City and was a 60 year VIP Commemorating Member of the UMWA.

In addition to his wife, Tod is survived by five sons, Jeff Vicki Mohney of New Marshfield, Don Mohney of Buchtel, Allen Candace Mohney of Buchtel, Les Kathy Mohney of Buchtel and Eric Melissa Mohney of Massillon; three daughters, Sheila Savage of Buchtel, Lynn Mark Brandt of Avon Lake and Alice Frank Standall of Nelsonville; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; one brother, Gifford Marty Mohney of Florida and one sister Anna Mae McDonald of Newark.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Sam Mohney, and sisters, Gladys Mohney and Clarabelle Ball.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Whitmore Cemetery, Buchtel where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
