Harold L. Davis

Harold L. Davis, 85, of The Plains, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2006 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster. He was born March 28, 1921 in Connett, Ohio, son of the late William H. and Electa Pickett Davis. Harold was married for 66 years, to his wife Eleanor Weaver Davis, who survives.

He was the retired owner and operator of Nelsonville Weld with his son Jim. Harold had worked at Sylvania Electric and in the coal mines, and was a member of the Nelsonville Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years.

In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by two sons, Jim Diane Davis of Nelsonville and Paul Debbie Davis of Melbourne, Florida; one daughter, Phyllis Jerry Enderle of Reno, Ohio; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Vernice Ball and grandson, Doug Davis.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Nelsonville Church of the Nazarene, 15275 SR 691, Nelsonville, Ohio 45764, with Rev. Bill Stiers and Rev. George Williams officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, on Sunday, November 19, 2006 from 6-9 P.M.
