Dorothy Louise Conner

On a quiet, peaceful night, Dorothy Louise Brooks Conner, 78, of Nelsonville, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2006 at her residence. She was born July 11, 1928 in McClean County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ervin and Bertha Lee Tinsly Brooks. She was the widow of the late Fred ?Junior? Conner who passed away February 3, 1998.

Dorothy formerly drove the bus for the Green Thumb Senior Citizens group. She was a member of the Murray City Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, was an avid bingo player all around the area, loved cooking and baking for her family and friends and having yard sales.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah L. Scott Hook Conner of Nelsonville; four sons, David R. Cheryl Conner of Bessemer, Steven L. Debra Conner of Burr Oak, Rick J. Joy Conner and Chris A. Laura Conner both of Caledonia; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and three special caregivers, Donald Platts Jr., Christy D. Webb and Scott E. Hook.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by four sisters, Sister Edna Brooks, Mary Brooks, Doris Johnson and Alice Weaver.

Friends and family may call Tuesday, December 5, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St. Nelsonville. It was Mrs. Conner?s wish to be cremated following the visitation and her family will hold a private memorial service at their convenience.
