Robert William Horn

Robert William Horn 89 of Westerville, formerly of Glouster, died December 5, 2006 at his residence. He was born June 21, 1917 in Corning, Ohio, son of the late Robert and Myrtle Dunlap Horn. He was married to the late Maxine Thompson Holbert Horn who died February 8, 2006. They were married for 57 years.

Bob was a WW II Army Veteran, he retired as Assistant Engineer for the Tom Jenkins Dam in Glouster. He was a member of the 3 C?s, he was Past Exalted Ruler of the Nelsonville Elks Lodge # 543, and a former member of the Glouster American Legion.

He was survived by a son Terry Patricia Holbert of Glouster, a daughter Alice Kay Dr. Tom E. Pappas of Westerville. 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Melvin Horn of Hillard and James Horn of Crooksville. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by a sister Edna Tomco, and a brother Charles ?Mick? Horn.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM Friday in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St. Glouster, Ohio with Greg Holbert officiating. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8PM.

Military graveside services will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit.
