Gertrude Faye Joyce

Gertrude ?Faye? Joyce, 91, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at her residence. She was born September 18, 1915 in Logan, daughter of the late Carl and Ethel Leonard Pickrell. Faye is the widow of Victor H. Joyce who passed away September 12, 1990.

She is survived by one son, John ?Jack? Karen Joyce of Nelsonville; two daughters, Doris Ed Smith of Logan and Bonnie Goss of Nelsonville; seven grandchildren, Vic ?Joe? Howdyshell, Terry Howdyshell, Faye Whitaker, Carol Goss, Shane, Craig, and Krystal Joyce; ten great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

In addition to her parents and husband, Faye is preceded in death by a brother, Bill Pickrell; two sisters Julie Joyce and Pluma Wooley and a granddaughter, Jacqueline Goss.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, December 9, 2006, at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 P.M.
