Burie L. Dye Jr., 60, of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Doctors Hospital West, Columbus. He was born June 19, 1946 in Fairmont, West Virginia, son of the late Burie L Dye Sr. and Alice Christie Dye Melvin ?Tom? Wood . Burie was married to Pamela Marie ?Pat? McDonald Dye, who survives, for 40 years.

He was formerly employed with Wayne National Forest, Geauga Industries in Warren and was self employed owner and operator of Dye Sanitation.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Burie ?Larry? Cindy Dye III of New Plymouth, Shane Tammy Dye of Carbondale and Brian Melissa Dye of Nelsonville; two daughters, Christie Bucky Hall of Nelsonville and Rita Dye Joe Smith of Carbondale; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; six brothers, William Jean Dye of Warren, John Delores Dye of Athens, Charles Betty Dye of Logan, Ronald Dye of Athens, William Floyd ?Bill? Carla Dye of Carbondale and Allen B. Debbie Dye of Logan; six sisters, Joann Mathena of Nelsonville, Janet Harold Six of Nelsonville, Karen Barnett of Logan, Mary Stevens of Nelsonville, Rita Estep of Carbondale and Roberta D.J. Fannin Baughman of Logan; several nieces and nephews including the Robert Kiser family.

Burie is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Aaron Dye, a granddaughter Julie Dye, two brothers, Richard Dye and Jeffery Michael Wood and one sister Shirley Dye.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 12, 2007 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home and Cremation Service 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be in Matheny Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
