Ruth Hartman

Ruth Hartman, 95, of Nelsonville, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Pine Hills Continuing Care Center, Nelsonville. She was born November 16, 1911 in Athens County, the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Chloe Belle Cox Auker. She was the widow of the late Arthur P. ?Art? Hartman.

Ruth was a member of the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church for over 55 years. During that time, she served on the board and taught Sunday School.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Largent and Vivian Pittman.

Funeral service will be held Monday, January 15, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Hocking Co. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
