Charles E. Russell

Charles E. Russell, of Logan, age 85, passed away on January 18, 2007 at Logan Health Care Center. He was born May 13, 1921 to Ruth Rittenberry Russell and Virgil Russell of Buchtel, Ohio. He attended Buchtel High School and was a veteran of World War II.

He was married for 58 years to Elaine Swyers Russell of Murray City who survives. Charles retired from Wolsky Stair Company in 1983. Besides his wife he is survived by son Gregg A. Kathy Russell; daughter Judy L. and Jody L. all of Logan. Also survived by sister, Alice Soles of Buchtel and a son, Charles David from a former marriage of the Nelsonville area; seven nieces and six nephews.

Charles is preceded in death by his brother William P. and wife Melveen; sister Lillian Drake and husband John and brother-in-law Howard Soles and two nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Cardaras Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Gerald Frazee officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.

Military graveside services will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
