Richard Allen Blake, Sr.

Richard A. Blake Sr., 65, of Logan, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan. He was born May 27, 1941, in Greendale, son of the late Harold Blake and Dora Christian Blake Anderson. He was married to Sandra K. Myers Blake, of Logan, for 42 years.

He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Logan after 36 years service and was a member of the Peoples Church in Logan. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Richard was survived by six children; daughters, Marcie and Arlen Wolfe of Logan, Becky and Wyatt Mohler of Logan, Tina Inboden of Logan, Kim and Nick Colurra of Nelsonville and Sandra and Dave Perry of Logan; a son, Richard and Teresa Blake Jr. of Logan; 23 grandchildren, Mandy, Lacey, Shana, Joel, Julie, Chad Sr., Angie, Jeremy, Kevin, Sarah, Autumn, Lydia, Letisha, Jenny, Anthony, Kira, Brian, Kassie, Desirae, Seth, Jessica, Richard III and Jack; 15 great grandchildren, Brittany, Chad Jr., Dakota, Madison, Zachery, Michael, Megan, Hannah, Haliegh, Jasmyne, Isabella, Kevin, Trista, Tyler and Gabriella and one brother Kenneth and Brenda Blake of Logan.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis Bush.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at the Peoples Church, 30811 Lake Logan Rd, Logan with Rev. Roger Fidler officiating. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery, Logan where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at Cardaras Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 183 E. Second St., Logan, Tuesday, January 30, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M and Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the church.
