John A. Mcguire

John A. ?Mickey? McGuire, 92, of Athens, formerly of Nelsonville, passed away Monday, February 5, 2007 at his residence. He was born January 7, 1915 in Belaire, son of the late Jessiah Charles McGuire and Celina Pearl Dennis Evans. He was the widow of the late Gertrude Fay Fisk McGuire.

John was a retired foreman at Capital City Products, where he worked for 20 years. He was a life member of Moose Lodge #11 in Columbus.

He is survived by a son, Lawrence B. McGuire of Athens; a daughter, Joyce Kaye James Clouser of Largo, FL; caregiver, Misty Clark of Athens; former daughter-in-law, Patricia I. Kincaid of Pataskala; six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a brother, Charles A. McGuire and a granddaughter, Patricia Marie McGuire.

Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Michael Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the time of service.
