Charles E. Nichols

Charles E. ?Cracker? Nichols, 74, of Nelsonville, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Doctors Hospital, Nelsonville. He was born April 5, 1932 in Nelsonville, son of the late Clarence and Grace Miller Nichols.

He retired from Stoltz Drug Store and was an Army Veteran.

Charles is survived by a niece Beth George Dishong of Athens and two nephews, George Auflick of Florida and Bruce Auflick of Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, Joe E., Ralph, Raymond, and Billy James Nichols and three sisters, Dora May Nichols, Margaret Ann Nichols Auflick and Beatrice Ann Nichols.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, February 11, 2007 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from noon until the time of the service.
