Donald E. Blair, 78, of Carbon Hill, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Pine Hills Continuing Care Center, Nelsonville. He was born March 14, 1928, in Hocking County, son of the late William H. and Mary A. Mount Blair. Donald was married to Lucy Lenora Hartman Blair for 54 years, who survives.

He retired from working in the oil wells and was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. Donald enjoyed anything outdoors, such as hunting, fishing, and making bird feeders.

In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by one daughter, Erma E. Mays of Carbon Hill; son-in-law, Donny Mays of Ray, Ohio; two grandchildren Jeremy Tigner and Darik Megan Mays both of Carbon Hill; two great grandchildren, Dylan and Darby; one brother, Roy J. Blair of Marion; sister-in-law, Faye Blair of Logan and extended family, Larry, Tina and Anna Myers of Pennsylvania.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerald and Robert Blair and two sisters, Margie Keiffer and Wavelene Johnson.

A memorial service will be held 1 P.M., Friday, February 23, 2007 at Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, in Nelsonville with Rev. Eldon Maccombs officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville on Monday from 6-8 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in memory of Donald E. Blair to Risen Redeemer Full Gospel Church, 803 Burr Oak Blvd., Nelsonville, OH 45764.
