Christina Greenwood

Christina ?Chris? Greenwood, 85, of Nelsonville, formerly of Hocking County, passed away Friday, March 23, 2007 at Logan Health Care Center. She was born May 30, 1921 in Columbus daughter of the late John and Huldah Ewing Smith. She was married to the late George F. Greenwood for 34 years.

Chris and her family moved to Hocking County in 1951. She retired from Carborundum in 1983 after 27 years of service. She was a member of the Olivedale Senior Citizen?s group and was formerly a Red Cross volunteer at Hocking Valley Community Hospital. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, bowling, playing softball and volleyball and dancing.

Chris is survived by two sons, Ronald Linda Greenwood and Donald Greenwood all of Nelsonville; a daughter, Linda John Conrad of Rockbridge; 8 grandchildren, Lee, Rachel, Betsy, Jason, Molly, Joel Sherri and Kathy, 17 great grandchildren and a brother, Harold Ann Smith of Virginia.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, George Daniel Greenwood; a granddaughter; a great granddaughter; two sisters, Irene and Georgia and a brother, William Smith.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Bruce Livingstone officiating. Interment will be at New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
