James E. Myers, 74, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at his residence. He was born September 22, 1932 in Logan, son of the late Francis and Ann Sines Myers.
Jim was the retired editor of the Logan Daily News and for over 50 years was very active in sports in Hocking County and AAU Athletics.
He was survived by four sons, Rob Beth Myers of Aurora, Colorado, Jan Myers of Logan, Jerry Myers of Logan and Tim Myers of Malta; nine grandchildren, Katy Hardin, Brittany, Lacy, Levi, Cassi, Christopher, Mallory, Adam and Amanda Myers; sister-in-law Carolyn Myers of Seattle, Washington and two stepsisters, Becky Webb of Logan and Judy Mohr of Blacklick.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by one brother, Dr. Chris Myers, one infant daughter, Debrah Sue Myers and stepmother, Violet Bloom Myers.
Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in the Katie Smith Gymnasium at the Logan Hocking Middle School with Rev. Larry Hoffman officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan on Monday, April 2, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. and on Tuesday one hour prior to the services in the
Katie Smith Gymnasium at the Logan Hocking Middle School.
