Grace Elizabeth Glab

Grace Elizabeth Glab, 86, of Millfield, passed away Monday, April 23, 2007 at her residence. She was born January 29, 1921 in Athens County, the daughter of the late Frank Sanford and Ethel Robinette Lewis. She was married to John Lewis Glab, who survives, for 68 years.

Grace was retired from Ohio University where she was a pastry cook. She enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, cooking and many other crafts. She had completed an art school course and the Wilton school of candy making and cake decorating.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Sandra Bill Lake of Millfield and two grandchildren, Lori Danielle Lake of Millfield and Sean Robin Lake of Burbank Cailifornia.

A Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 23, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Elder Marjorie Bellville and Elder Virginia Mingus officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

The family suggests that contributions in Mrs. Glab?s memory be made to the Athens County Humane Society, 8500 Hoon Dr., Athens, Ohio, 45701 or the Appalachian Community Visiting Nurses, 30 Herrold Ave., Athens, Ohio 45701.
