Pearl Inwood Blackstone, 86, of Logan, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Arcadia Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Logan. He was born August 6, 1920 in Hocking County, son of the late Raymond B. and Gladys Marie Weaver Blackstone. Pearl was the widow of the late Thelma Irene McCune Blackstone.
He was a retired farmer and a retired school bus driver for the Logan Hocking School District after 32 years of service. Pearl was also a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.
Pearl is survived by one son, Robert Cathy Blackstone of Logan; one daughter Lou Ann Ed ?Whitey? Keirns of Logan; four grandchildren, Cheryl L. Larry Stumbo, Sheldon Denise Blackstone, Travis Keirns and Amber Ben Roth; four great grandchildren, Emily and Raymon Blackstone, Wesley Stumbo and Nathan Roth and two sisters, Elsie Brown and Leona Rutter both of Logan.
Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Ernie Perkins officiating. Entombment will be in New Fairview Mausoleum, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 P.M.
