Charles Franklin Stover

Charles F. ?Charlie? Stover, 67, of Nelsonville, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2007 at his residence. He was born November 9, 1939 in Carbon Hill, son of Harry Edward and Dorothy Sowers Stover. He was married to Sharon Evans Stover of Nelsonville, for 44 years.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church, the Jacksonville V.F.W. and the Old Settlers Reunion Committee.

In addition to his wife, Sharon, he is survived by four daughters, Tammy Doug Conley, Dottie Jerry Adkins and Tina Rafeal Gilbraith all of Nelsonville and Charlie Larry Davis of Tuppers Plains; ten grandchildren, C.D and Autuum Conley, Elizabeth Simms, Jordan and Brandi Adkins, Dusty and Rebecca Stover, David Gilbraith and Randal and Tyler Davis; a sister, Leva Jones of Logan; three brothers, Eugene Bonnie Stover and Larry Sam Stover both of Amesville and George Gina Stover of Shawnee.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Stover; sister, LaDonna McCorkhill; infant brother and sister, Leroy and Wilma Belle Stover.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church, at the corner of Chestnut and Harper Sts, Nelsonville with Pastor Michael Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Carbon Hill Cemetery, where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
