Charles Marion Simonton

Charles ?Marion? Simonton, 64, of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at his residence. He was born December 2, 1942 in Nelsonville, son of the late Marion E. and Evelyn Mae Stufflebean Simonton.

Marion was a retired carpenter, a member of the NRA and was a trustee of the Nelsonville Fish and Game Conservation League.

Marion is survived by two daughters, Bobbie Jo Rocky Stone of South Bloomingville and Samantha Ann Simonton of Millfield; very special friend, Jennifer Adams of Nelsonville; two brothers, Howard Mary Simonton and Larry Simonton both of Nelsonville; two sisters, Virginia Jerry Tedrow of London and Leatha Richard Guess of Logan and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a nephew, George ?Howie? Simonton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Carbon Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
