James Edward Cecil Jr.

James Edward Cecil Jr., 79, of McArthur, passed away Friday, May 25, 2007 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born July 29, 1927 in Allensville, son of the late James Edward and Ival Graves Cecil Sr.. James was the widow of the late Jean Ann Roble Cecil.

He retired from the Mead Chilpaco Corporation and was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. James was a member of the Delta Lodge # 207 F.&A.M., F.O.E., and the VFW Post 5299.

He is survived by two sons, James Amy Cecil III of Allensville and William Karen Cecil of Winchester, KY; one daughter, Tina Marie Cecil of Allensville; three grandchildren, Courtney Cecil and Eli and Cody Pierce and two brothers, Earl Wavelene Cecil of McArthur and Paul Fran Cecil of Allensville.

James is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister, Janet McWhorter.

Funeral services will be held 3 P.M., Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor Clyde Graves officiating. Interment will be in Bell Cemetery with military graveside services being conducted by the Vinton County VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 5-8 P.M. where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 P.M.
