Mary Jane Comstock, 81, of Baltimore, formerly of Logan, went quietly to be
with the Lord on Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Heartland-Fairfield Nursing Center,
Pleasantville. She was born June 27, 1925 in Pike County, Kentucky, daughter
of the late Hibbard and Hettie Jenkins Farley. She was the widow of the late
James Henderson Comstock Sr.
Mary retired from the Logan-Hocking School district where she was a cook.
She was survived by a son, Mike Nancy Comstock of Baltimore; a daughter,
Joy Ray Mendez of Portal, AZ; a grandson, Wyatt Mendez of Portal, AZ; three
brothers, Hibbard Farley, Jr. of Matawan, WV, Fred Opal Farley of
Springfield and James Farley of Chillicothe; three sisters, Mabel Hurley of
Williamstown, WV, Cora Hatfield of Beckley, WV., Jean Sam Snyder of
Circleville and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two
brothers, Raymond and Lawrence Farley and four sisters, Emma Schrader, Ethel
Farley, Billie Steele and Thelma Meade.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Cardaras
Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Entombment will be in New Fairview
Mausoleum, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday,
from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
The family suggests memorial contributions in Mary?s memory be made to the
Alzheimer?s Association of Central Ohio, 3380 Tremont Rd., Columbus, Ohio
43221.
