Susanne Babette Schuster Robinson Tripp, of Oneonta, NY and McArthur, OH, died Sunday, May 20, 2007 at her son's home in Oneonta where she had resided for the past three years.
Born in Nurnberg, Germany on May 7, 1928, she was the daughter of Johann and Margarete Weissenborn Schuster. Beside her parents, a son, Roy and husband Leonard Tripp preceded her in death.
Mrs. Tripp retired from The Fund office of Ohio University in Athens. OH. Susi was a long-time member of the McArthur Methodist Church and was a current member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Oneonta. She was a founding member of the Vinton County Gold Star Mothers, having lost a son during the Vietnam conflict.
Her sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Carol of Chillicothe, OH, Thomas and Sally of Largo, FL, Rob and Elizabeth of Oneonta, NY, and Jane Dunne, Clarksburg, OH, survive Susi. Stepson James Tripp of Deltona, FL and stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Deanna and Ivan Tribe of McArthur, OH, also survive Susi.
Additionally Susi is survived by her grandchildren: Tim and Leigh Ann Robinson of High Point, NC, Tara and Merv Keeton of Clarksburg, OH, Todd and Devan Robinson of Frankfort, OH, Tom Robinson II who is stationed in Germany, Roy and Heather Robinson of Frankfort, OH, Rick Robinson and special friend Aida of Oneonta, and Scott Robinson of Oneonta.
Also surviving are her step-grandchildren: Jimmy and Jennifer Tripp of Deltona, FL, Kathy and Don Watkins of Deltona, FL, Kristen and Joe Bryan of Debary, FL, Jodi and Luke Cobb of West Palm Beach, FL, and Jennifer Tripp of Sanford, FL.
The following great grandchildren also survive her: Ryan Robinson, Amanda and Cody Keeton, Devin and Kaden Robinson, and Savannah and Claire Robinson. Also surviving are step-great grandchildren Jasmine Tripp, Joey Bryan, Evelyn Cobb and Emily Wynkoop.
There will be no calling hours. A service will be held at Garrett? Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Saturday June 30, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Interment, with family only, will be in Elk Cemetery.
