Paul E. Howdyshell

July 14, 1925 — June 12, 2007

Paul E. Howdyshell, 81, of 310 Midland Place, Logan, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. He was born July 14, 1925 in Hocking County, son of the late William A. and Bessie Ruth Goodlive Howdyshell. Paul is the widow of the late Wilma Swick Howdyshell who passed away November 17, 1970.

He retired from Logan Clay Products where he was a Boiler Operator after 41 years of service and was a WW II Navy Veteran. Paul was a Charter Member of Amvets # 1776, a member of the Moose Lodge #873 and the American Legion in Junction City.

He is survived by one son, Lee Darlene Gillenwater Howdyshell of Logan; one daughter, Paula Wade of Baltimore, Ohio; four grandchildren, Stacey Gabriel, Paul Phelps, Brett Wade and Amanda Stivison and two great grandchildren, Madison and Mollie Gabriel.

In addition to his parents and wife, Paul is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Friday, June 15, 2007 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge with military graveside services be conducted by the Hocking County Color Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
