Clarence Robert Kimmey

Clarence Robert Kimmey, 73, of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at O?Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens. He was born July 4, 1933 in Nelsonville, son of the late John Robert and Carrie Marie Marks Kimmey. He was married to Loretta Jean Woodrum Kimmey, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Clarence is survived by a brother, John Nancy Kimmey of Happy Hollow; a sister, Edna Speelman of Nelsonville; a nephew that he and Loretta raised, Roy Rogers Kimmey Jr. of New Lexington; two special nephews, Chris McDonald and Aaron McDonald and a special great nephew, Austin McDonald; a special great niece, Kailey Rose Cook and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Kimmey Sr. and Roy Rogers Kimmey Sr.; a sister, Rosie Sharpe and a niece, Carrie Kimmey.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Woody Frasure officiating. Interment will be at Whitmore Cemetery, Buchtel. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
