Walter Kenneth ?Kenny? Clowes, 72, of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, June 29, 2007 at his son?s residence in McArthur. He was born November 11, 1934 in Athens, son of the late John and Dolores Adams Clowes.
Kenny was a retired long haul truck driver and Owner/ Operator of Clowes Trucking. He was a Korean War veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a member of The Plains VFW and Chauncey Amvets and attended the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his former wife and best friend, Della Clowes of Nelsonville; daughters, Debbie Mike White of Buchtel, Lois Bobby Lupher of Zanesville and Jeri Max Moran of Frazeysburg; sons, J.D. Jaime Clowes of McArthur and Matthew Clowes of Athens; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Janice Clowes of Millfield and a niece, Barbara Tim Hall of Grove City.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Clowes and a sister, Lois Gerhardstein.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 3-5 PM at the funeral home.
