Ercle Lincoln Eggleston

Ercle Lincoln Eggleston, 90, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at the home of his daughter. He was born February 12, 1917 in Starr, the son of the late Eliphalet and Laura McClurg Eggleston. He was the widow of the late Audrey Aileen Arnold Eggleston, who passed away March 25, 2005.

Ercle was retired from North American Rockwell. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Nelsonville American Legion Post 229. He was a member of Mingo Lodge #171 F&AM and Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus.

He is survived by a daughter, Charlene James Fatzinger of Nelsonville; a son Ronald Harlene Eggleston of Pickerington; a grandson, James Bradley Fatzinger of Lawrenceville, GA; a brother, Don Charlotte Eggleston of Logan, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 5 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 10 at 10:00 A.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville with Rev. Michael Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery, Hocking County where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 PM.
