Ollie L. Maxwell Moore

Ollie L. Maxwell Moore, 80, of Portsmouth, passed away Friday, July 27, 2007 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born November 8, 1926 in Hamden, daughter of the late Vernon and Hazel Tinkham Shafer. Ollie was married to Glen Moore of Portsmouth, who survives.

She was a member of Mabert Road Baptist Church in Portsmouth.

In addition to her husband, Ollie was survived by four sons, Leroy Carol Seeley of Wheelersburg, John Maxwell of Albany, Jerry Kim Maxwell of Chillicothe and Herb Pam Boch Maxwell of Jackson; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces and newphews; one brother, John Pearl Shafer of Ewington and one sister, Phyllis Perry of Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, John Maxwell Sr.; one brother, Charles Shafer and five sisters, Louise Shafer, Marie Shafer, Marcella Harris, Barbara Shafer and Margie Wolfe.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Jim McFadden officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 P.M.
