Nicky J. Green, 67, of Nelsonville, passed away, Sunday, July 29, 2007 at the home he built himself on Poplar St. in the presence of his loving family. He was born February 6, 1940 in Nelsonville, son of the late Arthur Green and Doris Adams Sheppard. He was married to Wanda Thompson Green, who survives, for 45 years.

He was a 1958 graduate of Nelsonville High School and a life member of the Nelsonville ELKS Lodge BPOE #543 and was a well known carpenter and construction worker in the area for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; a son, Steven Melissa Green; a daughter, Linda and Larry George all of Nelsonville; grandchildren, David and Michael George, Brandy Chamberlain, Nicholas and Alexis Green, Austin Snider, Isaac and Hayden Dunn; great granddaughter, Briana Chamberlain; brother, Danny Green of Logan; sister, Ann ?Sissy? and Dan Maze of Logan; good friend Jack Maurer; beloved dog, Skippy Sue and many other friends and relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant daughter, Vicki Lynn Green; dear friend, Chris Wolfe; nephew, David Green and sister-in-law, Mona Green.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with pastor Tom Hanning officiating. Interment will be at Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home where and ELKS service will be conducted at 7:30 PM.
