David E. Dixon

David ?Dave? E. Dixon, 50, of McArthur, passed away after an extended illness Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at his residence. He was born February 24, 1957 in McArthur, son of the late Charles Edward and Juanita M. Kitchen Dixon. Dave was married to the Cynthia ?Cindy? Mercer Dixon, of McArthur, who survives.

He worked for the Vinton County Highway Department and loved fishing and coaching his sons little league games.

In addition to his wife Cindy, Dave was survived by a son, Alex Dixon of the Home; two brothers, Mike Valarie Dixon of McArthur and Mark Dixon of Hamden; three sisters, Lisa Mark Carter of New Plymouth, Sue Ellen Dixon of McArthur and Linda Billy Bartoe of McArthur and mother-in-law, Gerry Ryan of McArthur.

He is preceded in death by his parents and father-in-laws, Vernon Mercer and Will Ryan.

Graveside services will be held 1 P.M. Thursday, August 9, 2007 in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Adena Hospice Services, 111 West Water St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
