Anna Virginia Collins

Anna Virginia Collins, 76, of McArthur, passed away Friday, August 10, 2007 at O?Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. She was born September 8, 1930 in Athens County, daughter of the late George and Mildred Mourne Dishong. Anna was the widow of the late Jack Collins.

She graduated from Buchtel High School in 1948.

Anna was survived by three sons, Tom Brenda Collins of Webster Springs, West Virginia, Bill Collins of McArthur, Joe Collins of McArthur and Matthew Collins of Fairbanks, Alaska; three daughters, Carolyn Arthur Coleman of McArthur, Beth Gilliland of McArthur and Jackie Tim Puckett of Ray; sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one sister, Margaret ?Sis? Whitmore of Buchtel.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Bob, Keith and Jim Dishong.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Monday, August 13, 2007 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8 P.M.
