Woodruff D. Johnson

Woodruff D. ?Woody? Johnson 74 of Logan passed away Saturday August 25, 2007 in Arcadia Acres Nursing Home. He was born September 7, 1932 in Athens County, son of the late Carl W. and Alma Grace Stephenson Johnson. He was married for 37 years to Ruby Leora Johnson who survives.

Woody was Retired from the City of Nelsonville, and Tri-County JVS. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, member of the D.A.V., the Logan Moose Lodge #873, a life member of Amvets post 1776 in Logan, and was a life member of the Tri-County Nite Hunters.

He is survived by sons Kevin C. Johnson of Nelsonville, Christopher L. Johnson of Carbon Hill, and Kenny L. Johnson of Logan. Stepson James L. Tina Bailey Sr. of Nelsonville. Daughter, Brenda L. Gary Malone of Logan and a Step Daughter Darlene Fred Reed of Logan. 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Brothers, Donald E. Johnson of Nelsonville, Roger L. Johnson of New Marshfield, Robert E. Johnson of Logan, Roy W. Johnson of Morriston Fl., and a sister Arvella Lehman of Nelsonville.

Woody was preceded in death by brothers Wilbur L. and Harold A. Johnson, a daughter, Pauline M. Johnson, and a grandson Ryan Johnson.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday in the Cardaras Funeral Home 183 E. Second St. Logan with Rev. Rick Bennington officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8PM. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Hocking Co. Honor Guard.
