Roger D. Blackburn

Roger D. Blackburn, 57, of McArthur, passed away Monday, August 27, 2007 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born March 16, 1950 in Oak Hill, Ohio, son of the late Marvin and Flossie Madden Blackburn. Roger was married to Beverly Adkins Blackburn, who survives.

He was employed at General Mills in Wellston, a Vietnam Army Veteran and a member of the McArthur VFW Post #5299.

In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by one son, Richard Anthony and one daughter, Samantha Nicole both of Columbia, South Carolina; two brothers, Mike and Jimmy Blackburn both of Oak Hill and two sisters, Rita Blackburn of Jackson and Shirley Pettit of Portsmouth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Samuel Brian.

As per Rogers wishes, he will be cremated and no visitation or services will be held. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
