John C. Woodard

John C. Woodard, 52, of South Bloomingville, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at his residence. He was born May 12, 1955 in Wellston, son of the late Marvin and Dorothy Woodgeard Woodard. John was married to Pauline Stevens Woodard, who survives.

He worked as pipe layer for Complete General Construction Company in Columbus.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by three sons, Robert Valerie Evans of Dundas, Matthew Charlotte Evans of McArthur and Daniel Misty Linton Evans of McArthur; two daughters, Paula Ronald Canter of Oak Hill and Fran Chuck Thiel of Michigan; several grandchildren, one great grandchild; one brother, Hayes Woodard of South Bloomingville and two sisters, Cora Ashmore of McArthur and Eva of Maysville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M., Friday, August 31, 2007 at the Chestnut Grove Church, South Bloomingville with Rev. Jim Wine officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Gove Cemetery, South Bloomingville. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Thursday from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. and on Friday, one hour prior to the services at the church.
