Lois E. Johnson

Lois E. Johnson, 72, of Nelsonville, passed away, Monday, September 10, 2007 at Arcadia Acres Nursing Home, Logan. She was born September 8, 1935 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Robert and Vivian Joy Blackford. She was married to Donald E. Johnson of Nelsonville, for 52 years.

She was retired from Goodyear and was a member of the Nelsonville First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, Donald E. Renee Johnson Jr. of Rantoul, Illinois; four daughters, Betty Jeff Traugh of Carbon Hill, Sheryl David Gretz of Logan, Carolyn Martin of Nelsonville and Cissy Harold Albright of Marysville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Linda James Sickels of Heath; brothers, Robley Theresa Blackford of Gypsum and Robert June Blackford of Logan; brothers-in-law, Roger Ellen Johnson, Ed Hope Johnson and Roy Debbie Johnson; sisters-in-law, Arvella Lehman and Dorothy Johnson; many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Betty Arlene Blackford; son-in-law, Henry Martin; brothers-in-law, Lonice, Woody and Harold Johnson; sister-in-law, Waveline Johnson

Funeral service will be held Friday, September 14, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Karen Walters officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Peoples Bank, P.O. Box 400, Nelsonville, Ohio 45764 to help with medical expenses.
