Pansy E. Zinn, 94, of Athens, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007 at O?bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. She was born May 17, 1913 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Pearly and Ermie Gregory Arbaugh. Pansy is the widow of the late Charles Pickney Zinn.
She was a member for 50 years at the First Presbyterian Church in Athens and was given an Honorary Life Membership Certificate for service to the church and community by the Presbyterian Women in 1996.
She is survived two sisters, Betty Lou Dudruhl of Indiana and Emma Rife of North Carolina; a foster daughter, Nina Johnson of Missouri; several nieces and newphews and special friend Mike Azbell of Jacksonville.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pansy was preceded in death by her brother, Jearl Lloyd Cline.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 29, 2007 at Garrett Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Craig W. Seitz officiating. Interment will be in Alexander Cemetery, Albany. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
