Ethel Irene Malone

Ethel Irene Malone, 85, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. She was born October 11, 1922 in Hocking County, daughter of the late Nathan and Rosa Wolfe Starr. Ethel is the widow of the late Ernest E. Malone who passed away in 1998.

She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in New Straitsville.

Ethel is survived by her only son, Ernest W. June Malone of Logan; five grandchildren, Randy Malone of Logan, Phil Malone of Conneaut, Ohio, Mike Malone of West Minster, Vermont, Matt Malone of St. Albans, Vermont and Andrew Malone of Waverly, Ohio; ten great grandchildren and two sisters, Ocean Nelson of Logan and Esther Webb Carson of Middleport.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Violet Maxwell, Tina Cozad, Freda Jewell and Florence Pierson and five brothers, Willard, Harry, James, Theadore and Sherman Starr.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Michael Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery, Green Township. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
