George William Donahue Ii

George William Donahue II, 67, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at his residence. He was born April 9, 1940 in Franklin County, son of the late George William and Ethel Grace Lynn Donahue I. George is married to Sharon Lee Mitchell Donahue who survives.

He owned and operated Donahue Supply in Logan. Over a period of 14 years, George and Sharon rescued and found homes for over 73 puppies. He formerly worked at Smead Manufacturing in Logan and owned and operated Donahue Construction for 30 years. He accepted Jesus as his personal savior in April of 2007.

George is survived by the mother of his children, Dorothy Rose Donahue of Logan; four sons, Mark Cheryl Donahue, Bruce Candice Donahue, Luke Martha Donahue and Scott Shari Donahue all of Logan; two daughters, Carol Mark Lehman and Brenda Jo Fiancé, Terry Rhodes Donahue both of Logan; thirteen grandchildren, Tisha Luke Hacker, Jason, Caitlin, and Bryce Lehman, Tiffany, Jenny, and Nick Donahue, Caleb and Cortney Warren, Brianna and Jacob Richards and Ryan and Kelsey Gill; Sharon?s children by a previous marriage, James Howard Lora Warren of Mt. Vernon and Angela Lee Brian Richards of Chillicothe; four sisters, Marilyn Chuck Davis of Rockbridge, Delores Dale Walker of Lancaster, Ramona Taulbee of Rockbridge and Emily Lowell Dencer of Columbus and special friend Arnold Pack of Logan.

He was preceded in death by one great grandchild, Peanut Hacker, an infant brother, Walter Donahue and a sister, Winona Moder.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with private interment at New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
