Jean L Burris Dolby

Jean. L. Burris Dolby, 78, of Columbus, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Mount Carmel Medical Center, Columbus. The family wishes a special thank you to the Palliative Team at Mount Carmel Medical Center.

An avid gardener and quilt maker, Jean enjoyed canning and making quilts for family and friends. She retired from General Motors after ten years of dedicated service.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Gladys Burris and sisters, Mary Hoble and Ruth Sexton.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Charles W. Dolby; sons, Steven Tonya Stewart, Stanley Audrey Stewart and Scott Stewart; daughter, Stacie Steve Morman; stepchildren, Deborah Lee Durham, Kathy Richard Copas and William Kris Dolby; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; five great step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special aunt, Helen Elzey; brother-in-law, Donald Pam Dolby; sister-in-law, Patty Myron Smyth and Dixie Frank Adkins.

The family wishes to thank special friends Aaron, Lori and Kiana Casto for their love and support.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, OH 45651 with Rev. Walt Goble officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the St. John Lutheran Church, 2745 W. Broad St., Columbus on Thursday from 4-7 P.M. and on Friday at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home from 2-4 P.M. Arrangements are by Jerry Spears Funeral Home, 2693 W. Broad St., Columbus.

Jean was a devoted wife and lover mother and stepmother, she will be sadly missed.
