Norman P. Bolton, 76, of Logan, passed away Friday, November 16, 2007 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Lake County Florida. He was born June 28, 1931 in Vinton County, son of the late Clarence and Marie Wiseman Bolton. Norman is married to Gwendolyn Johnson Bolton, who survives.
He retired from Austin Powder, owned and operated Norm?s Satellite, was a member of the McArthur Eagles and was an Army Veteran.
In addition to his wife, Norman is survived by three sons, Keith Elaine Bolton of Eustis, Florida, Dwight Debbie Bolton of Logan and Noel Debra Bolton of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Amanda Bolton, Jeoffery and Shawndouglas Tackett, Karenda David Arnette and Ashley Josh Hacker; one great grandchild, Kylie Jo Arnette; one brother, Lawrence Bolton of Tavares, Florida; two sisters, Dolly Morse of McArthur and Mary Delno McClure of McArthur; sister-in-law, Grace Bolton of McArthur and several nieces and nephews.
Norman was preceded in death by four brothers, Earl, Clyde, Harold and Milford Bolton and one sister, Ethel Thomas.
Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Jerry Griffith Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur with military graveside services being conducted by the Vinton County VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 P.M. where a McArthur Fraternal Order of Eagles AERIE #2279 service will be held at 7:30 P.M.
