Mary Jane Stevens, 55, of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, December 7, 2007, at Doctors West Hospital in Columbus. She was born September 12, 1952 in Fairmont, West Virginia, daughter of the late Burie L. and Alice M. Christie Dye Sr.

Mary is survived by six brothers, William F. Carla Dye of Carbondale, Bill Marlene Dye of Warren, John Delores Dye of Athens, Charles Betty Dye of Logan, Ron Dye of Athens and Allen B. Debbie Dye of Carbondale; five sisters, Jo Ann Mathena of Nelsonville, Janet S. Henderson of Carbondale, Karen R. Barnett of Logan, Rita J. Estep of Nelsonville and Roberta Fannin of Logan; special friend Mark Tigner of Nelsonville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Burie Lawrence Dye Jr., Richard L. Dye and Michael Wood; one sister, Shirley Jean Dye and a nephew, Aaron Dye.

Funeral services will be held 3 P.M., Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. King Kelly officiating. Interment will be in Augustine Cemetery, Dover Township, Athens County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 P.M. until the time of the service.
